Service Description

Conduct meetings with adults with disabilities who are receiving residential supports and their families to learn about daily living skills. Visit and tour a variety of adult housing options that supports adults with disabilities. Learn about community agencies that provide daily living skills training to adults with disabilities. Develop a network of informal supports from individuals such as friends, family members, neighbors, etc. Learn about the possible use of technology and adaptive assistance that will help with the development of daily living skills. Develop emergency procedures for use at home and when out in the community. Learn how to manage a daily time schedule that supports daily living skills.
